Nourish SWFL increases fresh food access and tracks health outcomes for low-income residents in Collier and Lee Counties by offering free produce for vulnerable participants, supported by data-driven strategies and community partnerships.
We partner with organizations throughout Southwest Florida to start and maintain gardens and offer hands-on garden programs. Our priority is helping children learn to grow and harvest their own food, because kids who grow fruits and veggies, eat them!
We host one beach cleanup per month with the help of community volunteers. The average amount of debris collected per cleanup is around 100+ pounds as we are still recovering from major hurricanes.
This fellowship program empowers young adults to become systems-thinking leaders through immersive, community-rooted environmental learning. Fellows gain hands-on experience growing fresh food, distributing it within their communities, and understanding the real-world challenges of building and sustaining resilient local food networks, while also engaging in ocean conservation efforts that protect and restore our coastal ecosystems.
Cultiva is our farming initiative growing year-round and providing a community hub that brings together fresh food production, hands-on learning, and innovative collaboration.
Our Community Gaps initiative brings together local leaders, organizations, and community members to have honest conversations about the challenges our community is facing. Together, we identify gaps, share ideas, and explore ways to better collaborate and create real solutions.
In 2025, over 1,400 volunteers and 956 students took part in hands-on learning and service. Together, we removed 2,011.6 pounds of coastal debris and donated 1,000+ pounds of fresh produce, strengthening our Southwest Florida community through sustainability, education, and meaningful action.
