Community projects help us tackle community issues in our southwest Florida region with the help of our local volunteers.
Monthly beach cleanups all throughout Southwest Florida are a great way to get involved and help clean our beautiful coast.
Since 2022 we've been able to cleanup over 2,100 pounds of marine debris! (mostly old cast nets and anchors)
With over 14 early learning food gardens, 1 large community garden, and two more large community gardens in progress throughout southwest Florida we are able to provide FREE food to our community.
The debris collected at our cleanups gets repurposed to art and showcased throughout our region to help spread awareness.
We help guide decision-makers to better understand issues in our community through speaking engagements and sustainable action.
To better serve our BIPOC community members we provide health resources in their native language.
Native plants are adapted to our local climate and soil conditions and provide food for pollinators.
Without pollinators, many foods, drinks, fibers, spices, and medicines wouldn't be possible. We must help aid their survival.
Our coastline vegetation are the first line of defense during an extreme weather event and we can help replant these much need plants.
Unfortunately, our picnic tables at Veggie Village Community Garden which are essential for community workshops and gatherings, were severely impacted by Hurricane Helene and completely damaged by Hurricane Milton.
We’re raising $3,600 to replace them with four durable, commercial-grade round picnic tables that will withstand future storms. Each table costs $900. We ask that you help our fundraising efforts.
